AtHoc Signs Agreement with Army Materiel Command (10/13/09) AtHoc signed an agreement with the U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC) to deploy its third-generation emergency mass notification system to protect and warn all personnel in its headquarters.
Garrisoned at Fort Belvoir, Va., AMC is the Army’s main provider of technology, acquisition support, materiel development, logistics power projection and sustainment. AMC operates the research, development and engineering centers depots; arsenals; ammunition plants; and other facilities and maintains the Army’s prepositioned stocks, both on land and afloat.
The AtHoc network-centric mass notification system will be deployed onsite behind AMC’s NIPRNet firewall and will run using Microsoft-based servers and databases. The system will deliver popup notifications to all networked computers, as well as alerts to landline phones and mobile phones.
