FCC Terminates Interoperability Board (7/6/12)
The FCC terminated the Technical Advisory Board for First Responder Interoperability as required under the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012.
The board, established earlier this year, recommended minimum technical requirements to ensure a nationwide level of interoperability for the nationwide public-safety broadband network.
In June, the commission approved the transmittal of the recommendations to the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet).
