APCO Seeks Comment on Training Standard (8/2/12)
The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International is seeking comment on a candidate American national standard (ANS) that identifies core competencies and minimum training standards for public-safety communications training officers.

Candidate APCO ANS 3.101.2-201x is a revision of the original ANS (2007) and focuses on establishing core competencies and minimum training requirements for communications training officers. This position is typically tasked with on-the-job training of agency employees on the essential duties and tasks of a public-safety telecommunicator.

Comments must be submitted by Sept. 3 to standards@apcointl.org and should include the name of the standard, line number in question, existing text and proposed resolution.
