Washington State Patrol Chooses NetMotion Software (8/20/12)
The Washington State Patrol will replace an aging in-house mobile communications network with a Mobile Office Platform using NetMotion Wireless’ Mobility XE as its network connection.
"Our Mobile Office Platform improves trooper and public safety, makes troopers more efficient and will help us clear roadways more quickly," said Tom Wallace, director of the Washington State Patrol's Information Technology division. "By shaving just ten minutes off a collision investigation we reduce the lingering backup by more than an hour. That will have a huge positive effect on both public convenience and freight mobility."
Mobility XE is client/server software specifically built for wireless environments. NetMotion said its mobile virtual private network (VPN) platform is used by more than 300,000 state and local government users across the country.
