Public-Safety Heroes Honored at APCO (8/21/12)
The NG9-1-1 Institute, 9-1-1 For Kids and APCO International have teamed up to honor local public-safety heroes at a ceremony during the NG9-1-1 Institute/APCO Partnership Reception, celebrating the partnership of the NG9-1-1 Institute and APCO International.

Nine-year-old Rodrigo Sanchez Sosa will be honored at the ceremony for his calm 9-1-1 call when his baby sister was unconscious. Also being honored are Minneapolis Emergency Communications Center dispatcher Lori Patrick, who took the call, and Hennepin EMS dispatcher Tom Polzin, who assessed the situation and sent an ambulance to the scene.

The NG9-1-1 Institute/APCO Partnership Reception is an annual reception open to all attendees of the APCO Conference and provides the opportunity for attendees to learn more about the NG9-1-1 Institute, its events, activities, partners and the NextGen 9-1-1 Congressional Caucus.
